Discovery

Home Technology Solutions takes pride in always listening to make sure we capture all the client’s requirements. From these meetings and discussions, we will produce initial ideas, and suggestions. Additionally, Home Technology Solutions will work with the client to understand the budget.

A high-level estimate will be produced that will provide some rough ideas of the final costs for the project.

Design and Architecture

Once the client is comfortable with the estimate created out of the discovery phase, a signature triggers the beginning of the design phase. In this phase, Home Technology Solutions will create all of the necessary documents for the installation. This phase will also produce a detailed proposal and bill of materials.

Successful implementations of custom electronic systems rely heavily on a complete and accurate system design. Home Technology Solutions has invested significantly in industry specific software that has streamlined the system proposal and design process. Our designs include detailed equipment lists, wiring schematics, system layouts, floorplans, and elevations.

Installation and Programming

Once the proposal is approved, Home Technology Solutions begins the installation phase. This phase can be broken down into a series of steps which can vary based on the project being new construction or an existing home.

During the rough-in phase Home Technology Solutions will install the wiring infrastructure for all systems. Every wire that is run receives a unique label for the trim and finish phases.

During the trim and finish phases we terminate all of our wiring and install all interface connectors. It is during these phases where the equipment racks are installed and wired.

Most custom electronic systems require very detailed programming. All of our programming and design is done in house which enables us to respond more quickly to our clients. It also gives us complete control over the user interface design so we can promise that the system will be easy to operate.

Turnover and Training

Once the system is installed, programmed, and tested we then enter arguably the most important phase of the project. Turnover and training for our client.

During this phase we will provide all of the manuals, software, warranty cards, and other materials necessary for success. We will spend time with the client giving them the necessary instructions and training to operate the system. Over the next few weeks, we will provide support over the phone and will make additional visits to the home to provide additional instructions and any tweaks the client may need.

Extended Support and Warranty

All systems installed by Home Technology Solutions come with a 90 day warranty at no cost. Equipment and components installed also come with varying manufacturer warranties from one year to lifetime.
